Howard Finster was an American outsider artist and Baptist minister from Georgia. He claimed to be inspired by God to spread the gospel through the design of his swampy land into "Paradise Garden," a folk art sculpture garden. A self proclaimed “Man of Visions”, Finster was one of America's most widely known and prolific self-taught artists producing over 46,991 pieces of art before his death in 2001.
