Hours: 9:30 am - 4 pm
Location: This workshop will be held at a private home/studio within the Ojai City limits. Exact location will be revealed once purchased. 

Description: Copper Foil Method
This workshop covers the fundamentals of stained glass fabrication using the copper foil method. Participants will learn to cut glass, wrap pieces in copper foil, solder them together, and apply a metal patina and hanging hardware.
You may use provided templates or bring your own design. For custom designs, use a "coloring book" approach with simple shapes outlined in black. Free form shapes are encouraged over traditional squares or circles.
Project Constraints:
  • Size: Maximum 8” x 8”
  • Complexity: Up to 10 pieces of glass
Instruction includes guidance on selecting glass textures and colors to suit your design.

  • Work apron/shirt to keep glass off of clothing

About the Instructor: 
Stinsmuehlen-Amend has been working with glass since 1973. A partner and designer at an architectural glass studio in Austin for 20 years, and trained as a painter, she is also known for her experimentation with unorthodox glass techniques. She has been an instructor at the Pilchuck Glass School for more than twenty summers. Her work is included in many museum collections and public art installations. Susan loves working in the space of glass!
